A second report published by the Wilson Center and co-authored by Yazda and
the ZPO examines the long-term consequences of genocide, political inaction, and chronic insecurity in Sinjar, which have significantly disempowered historic communities. The co-authors propose a new blueprint for revamping the Sinjar Agreement with inclusive community representation. The report calls for U.S. government support to encourage the Iraqi and Kurdistan Regional governments to address key needs.

A new policy paper titled, “Collapsed security threatens the future of Yazidis and minorities in Sinjar,” has been published by the Wilson Center. Co-authored by the ZPO and Yazda, the series aims to equip national and international stakeholders with community-led and actionable recommendations to strengthen security and enable political support with no delay in Sinjar.
